zimbra-core must be enabled.
The log file contains:
Quote:
Getting installed packages
checking isEnabled zimbra-core
zimbra-core not in enabled cache
enabled packages
Newinstall enabling all installed packages
zimbra-core must be enabled.
So what is this? I have no clue what to do now. I searched but couldnt find any solution.
Thx

We currently do not support ubuntu 7.
That's why it's failing. Perhaps another member of the forums can help you hack it, if you need ubuntu 7 badly.

To get past that stage you need a *dirty* hack. I haven't got it fully working but at least this will get it installed & config'ed.

As soon as you see:
"zimbra-core......zimbra-core_4.5.6_GA_1044.UBUNTU6_i386.deb...done"

Act fast in a separate console:
$ sudo nano +263 /opt/zimbra/libexec/zmsetup.pl

Make it look like this:
sub isEnabled {
my $package = shift;
detail("checking isEnabled $package");
# if its already defined return;
detail("$package is enabled"); #ADD THIS
return 1; #AND THIS

This will make install.sh *think* zimbra-core is 'enabled' and allow the script to continue.

I have not yet been able to actually start zimbra successfully on feisty though.

Hope this helps

Yup... Thanx... Helped however didn't work. The core didnt start successfully. So disappointing. However I know that it requires lots of time and work to port this huge project to other platforms too and it is not an option to redo the work every half year to only ubuntu. I will get it working in a VM
