Decided to quit on suse?

Not installing ldap? If this is a single server install you should have selected it...

Then usually you'll have to go to zimbra-store then set the admin password.

let's 'expand' the menu

Default Switched to Redhat

Thanks for the response, I just fell back and ditched SUSE in favor of a standard Redhat 5 implementation. I will try to reinstall with the LDAP components and see if it helps.

Did you actually choose not to install ldap or are you just unsure if you selected 'y' or not?

Thanks, I installed the ldap package and i was able to get the configuration to apply. however, i now have the problem of being unable to get zimbra to use ports lower the 1024 for whatever reason. do i need to tweak the startup scripts to use sudo?

Best regards
Bill Brant

/opt/zimbra/bin/zmfixperms.sh

I know you must have installed as root-because else you would have seen:
Code:
ID=`id -u`
if [ "x$ID" != "x0" ]; then
    echo "Run as root!"
    exit 1
Follow the uninstall directions (to clean up the box) then let's do a fresh install.
