Default zimbra + backup exec (pre-install questions)

Hi all,

I am going to deploy ZCS NE on a redhat cluster and would like to use the existing backup infrastructure to backup ZCS. We are using Symantec Backup Exec.
At the moment I only see the option to let zimbra do it's backups and then use BE to backup the backups. Usually not a problem but with 2TB estimated mailbox storage this is becoming an issue.

Any ideas how I could solve this without wasting too much hard drive space (FC is still expensive....)?

Kind Regards
Andre

mhhh... I just asked my calculator and it says 1GB x 2000 Mailboxes = 2TB....

so I am afraid it is not a joke.......

this may explain my concerns about "backing up the backup"

Kind Regards
Andre
