I hate to interject into the middle of this, but did you make sure to set the ldap password to the correct one?

@jholder. No, I cannot telnet port 389 from slave to master. Connection refused. Should I be able to do that?

@kirme3. The password is absolutely the same: 123456.

Default Solved!! :)

Ok guys, sorry for the misleading titles.
Apparently I made a mistake in setting up /etc/hosts:
Previously I have it set:
Code:
[root@centos5 ~]# cat /etc/hosts
# Do not remove the following line, or various programs
# that require network functionality will fail.
127.0.0.1       localhost.localdomain localhost centos5.pluto.com centos5
::1             localhost6.localdomain6 localhost6
192.168.0.199   centos5.pluto.com centos5
That makes SLAPD only listen to 127.0.0.1.

After I change it to:
Code:
127.0.0.1       localhost.localdomain localhost
::1             localhost6.localdomain6 localhost6
192.168.0.199   centos5.pluto.com centos5
Now SLAPD listens to 192.168.0.199, and I can setup the slave server

But, now comes another question:
Some of the tutorials and wikis on setting up ldap replication server contradicts each other. Some say that zimbra-ldap must be "disabled" in the slave, but some say that we just need to "no for domain creation".

Which one is correct?
