What are the recommended sizes for the partitions in a clustered setup with multiple mount points? If there are no set sizes, relative percentages of the SAN space would be useful. (ie. conf - 10%, redolog - 20%, etc...)
Thanks

Number of users/storage space available?
I separate out like this:
/opt/zimbra (I usually set to 20GB - see * below)
/opt/zimbra/store
/opt/zimbra/seconday
/opt/zimbra/db
/opt/zimbra/index
/opt/zimbra/backup
/opt/zimbra/log
* some pull these out separately from /opt/zimbra
/opt/zimbra/conf
/opt/zimbra/redolog
/opt/zimba/logger
/opt/zimbra/openldap-data
/opt/zimbra/postfix
/opt/zimbra/mysql
/opt/zimbra/tomcat (some do just the logs folder, or just the webapps folder) -careful on this, it will switch to jetty later
I assume your separating so much because of this in the single server cluster install guide: (which isn't mentioned in the multi-server cluster guide)
Note: You can place all service data on a single volume or choose to place the service data in ten volumes.
A more customized volume configuration is possible, but the configurator script only supports single- or ten-volume volume sets.
This is a limitation of the configurator script, not of Zimbra Collaboration Suite or of Red Hat Cluster Suite.

We are actually doing a multi-server install so we have to have these mount points separate:
conf
log
redolog
mysql
store
index
backup
logger
I just need to know the recommended size or percentage of disk for each one. I assume conf doesn't take much space but I don't know how fast the other ones grow.
I have some planning sheets that shouldn't go out for the world to see...if you PM me stats I'll crunch some numbers for you. But we're not allowed to give this doc public.
For those wanting it later, please contact zimbra professional services.

That helps a little but it's a bit too high level. We're actually doing something sort of strange. We're only using zimbra for contacts and calendar, not mail. I suppose I should have mentioned that before, hehe. I'm not sure how much space to allocate to each partition in that case. I just need a rough estimate as to how fast the data grows in each one of the partitions. We're going to be handling a couple hundred thousand users.
