Smile Problem after change the Web mail client port number

Hi All,
I just installed Zimbra server in my FC5, and all components were run perfectly after installed.
I changed the web mail client port number from 80 to 8000 and I can log on from Web mail client and sent/received mail without any problem. But If I using other mail client such as thunderbird or MS outlook, I only able to receive mail but fail to send out the mail, the mail client alway prompt me to key in password to log on and after key in the correct password, the mail client prompt again. Anyone facing this problem before?

The command that I using for change port number;

$ zmprov ms my-mail-server-name zimbraMailPort 8000
$ tomcat stop
$ tomcat start

Anyone can tell me what is wrong? Thank.

Hi!
Changing the web interface port only affects WebUI users.

It really depends on how thunderbird/Outlook are accessing your server?
POP3/IMAP?

Usually, users don't chance those port numbers because they're standard.

Thank foe your reply, but before I change the port, I am using the MS outlook connect to zimbra server and It work perfectly.
After I change the web client port number to 8000, I had problem to sent out the email but I still can received email via MS outlook.
Than, I tried to changed back the web client port to default port which is port 80, than I can send/received mail without any problem via Ms outlook.

I can send out the mail only after change the web client port, and I tried to used the MS outlook's "test account setting" to check the problem, it show everything correct but except "send test e-mail message", so I suspect may be SMTP problem.
