Default Moving to new server on new domain...

Hi everyone,

I was reading this article on moving accounts from one server to another:

Network Edition Disaster Recovery - ZimbraWiki

and there's a part which states:

Before you begin, make sure that the new server is correctly configured with the IP address and hostname and that ZCS is installed and configured with the same domain, hostname, passwords, etc. as the previous server...

What if I don't want to do this part? We're looking at migrating accounts to a new server with a new domain name on a different subnet, so the above instructions are somewhat disconcerting.

Please advise. Thanks in advance for all your help.

Which part don't you want to do?

You can change the IP address as long as your DNS is updated along with it.

If your intention is to rebuild the server, then a full backup (NE only) and restoration should work as long as your new domain is created in that adminui.
