I'd suggest you install the correct version of FC7 or change to CentOS5 and install the version for that o/s.

I mean, use FC7 as your operating system as FC5 went EOL in June 2007. If you want a long term solution to outdated operating systems then I'd suggest CentOS5.

There is an install guide for Zimbra 4.5 on CentOS5 and it should be the same for the Zimbra 64 bit version. If you use 64 bit CentOS there are some 32 bit libraries that you will need to install as well and you can find details in the wiki. Have a look at those documents and post again if you have nay questions.

aadilbcas

I switched from RedHat to Fedora Core back in the day, then from FC to CentOS. Its basically the same thing from an admin stance. I've been very happy with the CentOS line and I'm sure you would be as well. I've got ZCS 5.0.2 GA FOSS running on a CentOS5.x machine for evaluation right now and its been running great. Super easy install. I just installed CentOS base install, ran the ZCS installer, fixed the dependencies, then I was off and running.

On the initial startup of zimbra the MTA would was not starting. I realized after some probing that I had sendmail installed and running. I simply ran 'yum remove sendmail', then restart zimbra MTA and all was good.
