Default zmrestore and no such domain error

Hello,

I have an internal mail server setup on mail1.domain.com. Every evening we do a full backup of the server.

I've created a second one setup as mail2.domain.com with the idea being that if the first one goes down we can just update the DNS entries to point to the second one and things can continue on their way.

I've mounted the mail1:/opt/zimbra/backup directory onto mail2 and then tried to do a zmrestore on the data.

I get the following error message:

Error occurred: no such domain: domain.com

Any ideas on why this would happen?

Thanks,

-Ken

You're gonna have to create the domain on the second, if you attempt to restore. The backup should take care of everything else.

My guess is the only domain that's installed is the fqdn one.

Cheers,
john
