Default Zimbra Desktop 7.1.1 Fail

ZD 7.0.1 was working fine until that upgrade to 7.1.1 came about. Now ZD is no longer working. When I run the ZD 7.1.1, the DOS window shows up very briefly then nothing happens. And I had to reformat my PC to be able to upgrade from ZD 1.0 to 7.0. Now this!

BTW, my OS is Vista Business running on a 4GB RAM and Quad CPU (Q9400).

ZD 7.1.1 is ok now. It seems that during the installation of the upgrade from 7.0.1 to 7.1.1, one temp folder cannot be deleted. I merely uninstalled the whole application, cleaned the registry, rebooted then re-installed.

Wish I could say the same thing. Was offered the upgrade on my Windows 7 laptop last night and it worked straight out of the box. Returned home tonight and was offered the same upgrade on my XP SP3 desktop. The upgrade failed as a result of inability to remove a temp folder. I downloaded a clean copy of the full install which offered only the option of repair or removal. Opting for repair I received the error message that "A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file c:\documents and settings\owner.home\my documents\downloads\update.msi". In both cases the result of clicking on the desktop icon was to make the Zimbra desktop icon flash up on the taskbar followed by nothing at all. Followed your advice which now allowed a full install from the downloader but the same result of a quick flash on the taskbar followed by nothing at all. So now stuck with the situation where removal and reinstall won't even correct the problem :-(

Default Latest...

So I have now tried several more installs and repairs but to no avail. I searched for the target for the Zimbra shortcut on my desktop which turns out to be Zdrun.vbs. When I click that I get a Windows Script Host

Script : C:\ Program Files\Zimbra\Zimbra Desktop\win32\Zdrun.vbs
Line : 64
Character : 3
Error : Path not found
Code : 800A004C
source : Microsoft VB Script Run Time Error

Would dearly love to get ZD back as I have tried almost all the other web based mail packages at this stage and none of them come close to Zimbra in terms of features and performance.

Default Solution

Now there is no way that this should ever have worked---- but I copied the entire Zimbra folder from my Windows 7 laptop onto a stick and copied it onto my desktop into Program Files. And Hey Presto - we're back in action - Happy Days

Default Zimbra desktop 7.1.1 not starting

Hi.
When starting the zimbra desktop the white square shows up with the red dots. After 60 or more seconds an error shows up with the window name "javascript-program"
"Not allowed Access to server for zimbra desktop"

I have tried to reinstall it for some time now.
It worked before now this.
I am running w7pro x64

Suddenly it works? I just did one more uninstall reinstall and it works. Strange.
