Default Zimbra Desktop message push loop

Hello

I'm hoping someone can help me with this as it's a show-stopper for me.

I'm using ZD to sync both Zimbra and Gmail accounts. ZD starts successfully, syncs all accounts and contacts etc with no issues but it then gets into a loop that seems to have no end !

The repetitive push messages start after this message in the debug log:
"offline - push: item 8631 deleted from local during push".

I can see that each message has its own ID; does this mean that it will eventually complete a finite job and that I should let it run? Or can I disable this somehow ?

Is this part of the syncing process ?

Any help will be much appreciated... thank you.
