If you are on snow leopard, you may be running into the issue mentioned here:

Bug 56279 – ZD doesn't restart automatically during upgrade

Unhappy

I downloaded the 'zdesktop_7_0_beta1_b10706_macos_intel.dmg' image and tried again.. It just hangs on a running script.

I tried what is suggested in BUG:56279 but of no use. And there are no zdesktop.{out,log} files anywhere in the install location.

Code:
$pwd
/Users/balusss/Library/Zimbra Desktop
$find . -name zdesktop.* -print
./zdesktop.webapp

there are no jetty instances at all. I am attaching a screenshot of the script error and here is the line 199 in question:
Code:
198   setParameter: function(aName, aValue) {
199     if (WebAppProperties.flags.indexOf(aName) == -1)
200       return;
:-?

- run Console.app
- look for any errors related to ZD installation in /private/var/log/install.log (under FILES)

hi,
i have tried it again and attaching the Install.log part here. I can only see something suspicious on line:44
Code:
Mar 11 19:40:00 myHost installd[15893]: ./preflight: /Volumes/Zimbra Desktop Installer/Zimbra Desktop.mpkg/Contents/Packages/zimbraDesktopPreflight.pkg/Contents/Resources/preflight: line 6: [: -gt:     unary operator expected
.. if it is related anyway, but request you to go thru the file once.

am very curious to use zimbra. pl help.
