Initial install receive error "Couldn't access Zimbra Desktop server" Uninstalled & reinstalled multiple times, and tried all solutions found in forums. None have corrected problem. Any ideas?

Is your hosts file correct? with entries to localhost. Besides make sure if any antivirus, firewall is denying access. Try after stopping them.
I think the file is /private/etc/hosts in MAC os.

Yes, your OS too has an hosts file which should have entries for localhost. That defines your machine, requests from your machine to itself will need that entry to get an answer. That is how zdesktop works, I believe. The file could be locked too, like in the thread. Just a thought.
