Default Desktop icon won't open desktop

I have installed Zimbra Desktop on my Mac several times. I always get a message that the installation was successful, but when I double click the icon to open the program...nothing happens. The program doesn't open. I would love to try Desktop, but I need to get it to open in order to try it. Any suggestions?

Thanks

My boss is having this issue when he upgraded from 2.0 -> 2.0.1 (not sure if yours was from a fresh install or an upgrade). I haven't looked at the zimbra logs closely yet to see if there are any error messages hidden in there.

I'm cayaraa's boss and I am having the same problem. I notice that you are running OSX 10.5.8, but I'm wondering what Mac HW you are running. I'm on a 2.13 GHz MacBook Air.

You guys could re-check the installation steps followed and make sure it is done as super user. I faced a similar issue in my ubuntu and had to re-install as root to correct it.
