Cannot Connect to SMTP - MDAEMON

Using the Mdaemon server for mail at my work. I am the mail administrator and the network engineer.

I am able to connect and run perfectly fine with Outlook(too expensive), Thunderbird (cal and contacts weak) and the mdaemon worldclient (kinda week). I am not able to connect with the Zimbra desktop.

I have configured and connected to my Yahoo mail perfectly. I really like the interface. I would like to test this as our new mail client. (moving from NOTES)

I put in all of the information using either iMAP or POP and get the same result.

"Cannot connect to "SMTP server". Please check host/port and network connectivity. "

I see the receiving side connect on the mail server but do not understand why this is not working.

Anybody have a suggestion?
