Zimbra Desktop for ActiveSync Accounts

Hi, all,

My corporate email account's web access is protected by a third-party security software that requires a keyfob. As a result, I am unable to use any mail client that requires direct connection to Exchange, IMAP, MAPI, or even the Exchange OWA.

However, my company does support ActiveSync, which I use from my iPad without a keyfob. This makes me wonder: is it possible to write a desktop mail program that uses the the ActiveSync interface instead of the usual interfaces? If it is, perhaps Zimbra is such a program?
