Default install issue in ubuntu 10.04 64bit

executed the install sudo ./whatever.pl

accepted all of the default locations.

the only problem I have is it creates an icon on the desktop that root only has permissions too.

after changing permission on the desktop launcher I still cannot execute ZD 2b4.

running Ubuntu 10.04 64bit. All of the previous beta's installed with no issues whatsoever.

thanks
j

Zimbra Desktop 2 FAQ - Zimbra :: Wiki

"On Linux, the default install location /opt/zimbra/zdesktop often requires root permission. If that is the case, please run Linux installer as root. Answer "No" when is asked to "continue to install data files for user: root". Login as regular user to complete the second part of the installation. "
