Can't shutdown background service of previous version (OS X)

Tried to shutdown via terminal using "./zdesktop stop" but every time I get the same error when trying to install:

Background service or previous version not shutdown. Please rerun this installer after it's completely shutdown.

OS X 1.6.2
Trying to install Zimbra Desktop 1.0.4

I looked in Activity Monitor and can't find any process that seems like it belongs to Zimbra. I also made sure that I was not logged into Zimbra from the browser.

are you able to launch UI for current installed zd? if you can, then when UI is running, right-click on dock icon->Shutdown Service should do it.

Nevermind. I ran the Uninstall app and that seemed to do the trick...
