Default email and contacts on a "dead" hard drive

All-

My Lenovo hard drive became corrupted and wouldn't boot up so I put in a new one and downloaded Zimbra DT onto the clean drive.

I can still read the old hardrive--it's in a USB case--but I'm not sure which files are the contacts and email. Can I "just drag" them to correct folder in the new Zimbra application folder?

Thanks in advance,

Scott

I haven't tested this myself, but I would imagine that you could simply install the same version of ZD on the new hard drive and then just copy the old folder on top of it.

Default "Solved"

So I reinstalled ZDT on the new hard drive and boldly dragged all the old folders over and "replaced all."

What happened was a mixed bag: all my contacts showed up and the email list was there but clicking an old email gave a "unknown error: (mail.NO_SUCH_BLOB) has occurred.

So who knows where that data is...

I'm probably deinstalling because Zimbra seems to have cause a "jittery bug" conflict where suddently all the Windows file list drop to the bottom and the cursor changes to a flickering tiny scroll bar.

You could also try installing the same version of ZD, then deleting the folder that it is in and copying the old one to the same location. Make sure that the service is stopped before you try this, or the service will keep certain files locked and not allow you to copy them over (probably why the database describing where messages are didn't copy over correctly).

Hmm, another thing that it could be: did you change user names between windows installs? If the user name was changed that is probably your problem.

As for your "jittery bug" problem, sounds like your touch pad driver is going crazy as there is nothing in ZD that could cause that...
