Installation Hangs-waiting for core services

This is my third attempt on a Vista nb. It hangs and I can't uninstall what has been partially installed. I have to do a restore to way before my install attempt. This time, I made sure Java was up to date and created a resore point before the d/l. This error log was in the folder i d/l'd the install...
