Default Personal Contacts in Exchange

Hi,

I just installed Zimbra Desktop to test if Zimbra may replace OutLook in our organization. The installation and connection to our Exchange 2003 works perfectly (after some messing with IMAP in Exchange).

All Email-folders and Calendar syncs up perfect ... but my personal Contacts-folder is synced to Zimbra as an "Email-folder" ?

That results in that I cannot use any contacts for sending email etc .....

This is just speculation ... but my Outlook Contacts folder is in swedish, so the name of the folder is "Kontakter" ... can it be so that Zimbra does not find my "Kontakter" as a Contacts folder?
If that's the case ... how do I fix it ?

Thanks for an otherwise great product!

/uffe

UffeSturegren,

Can you provide a screenshot of the folder so we can see what you mean by "Email-folder"?

If you are not able to figure out how to attach the image to this forum, please feel free to email it to us at feedback@mxtoolbox.com and we will help as much as we can!

Thanks,
@mxtoolbox

It appears that Zimbra Desktop does support the Swedish Language: Yahoo! Zimbra Desktop General FAQ - Zimbra :: Wiki

This is definitely perplexing, I will do some research and try and post what I can find.

Thanks,

I think theese problems could be solved if there were a way for me to tell Zimbra desktop which folder is my InBox, Sent Items, Junk mail, Calendar, Contacts etc..

I have nearly the same problem. The contacts are synchronised from Global Contact Lists.
And sent items and drafts are not synchronised.

Just testing Zimbra Desktop my self. Under os x there is a file called datasource.properties you can change the mappings of the folders in there. Look for the msexchange section and remap you remote folder to the local folder. Not sure if it will work with contacts, but worked with trash and sent items for me.
