Default Same installation in Windows and Linux?

Hi,
I'm currently playing around with Ubuntu (9.10) on a PC dual booting Windows XP and Ubuntu.

It would be great if I could do the following:
- install Zimbra Desktop in one OS (e.g. WinXP on an NTFS volume), connect to my mailboxes
- install Zimbra Desktop in the other OS (Utuntu) IN THE SAME directory and have the same data there

This way it would not matter, which OS I boot, ZD would always have the same e-mail database.

Would this work? Has anyone tried this?

-Bernhard
