please try the following steps:
0) make sure Yahoo! Zimbra Desktop service has started (control panel->administrative tools->services->...)
1) open <installation directory>/zdesktop.webapp/webapp.ini with notepad
2) copy the value of "uri=" key (e.g. http://127.0.0.1:7633/..............)
3) paste the uri in your browser (firefox)
are you able to access zd this way from your browser?
files as requested
do you all have xp service pack 3?
there has been couple of reports on this forum that zd suddenly stopped working on xp machines. we are currently investigating this issue.
Same problem here, hangs in the startup screen. Been that way for awhile, tried reinstalling the zimbra desktop and flash. Have Sp3 but cant recall when Sp3 was installed and if thats when the desktop stopped working.
Wanted to give this a try as an alternative to MS Outlook for mail, calendar, tasks, contacts. Downloaded Zimbra and installed but only get window with three red images on a white screen. No option to set up account or proceed with Zimbra Desktop. Really would like to give this a try but I only know enough to be dangerous. I see no answer yet in this thread so I guess Z is still working on it? Thanks.
jmhe: I am in the same boat with the rest of the group where I just see the animated icons over and over again. This started partway through the day today after a system reboot. I followed your steps 0-3 and I am able to access zd this way.
My question then is: what does this mean? Is this a jetty issue then?
Thanks in advance,
-Jeff
Ok, so I'm having the exact same problems, can access when I go through http://127.0.0.1....
So like when will this be resolved or is there a solution that I'm just not seeing? Haven't seen any new Zimbra versions to download either - they all have the same version and build # as what I've installed.
Thanks!
Mine has the same issue, but when entering the URL into Firefox it says Unauthorised Access. I have never used this program before, does that have anything to do with it?
