Question [SOLVED] Problem starting

Hi,

Clean install of Zimbra desktop 1.0.3.1691 on winXP32 starts but nothing happens, just the three symbols repeating.
I am attaching the 3 logs I found on \Zimbra\zdesktop\log.
I managed to connect to it from firefox, so the problem seems to be with Prism.
Dowloaded Prism and created an app from the url but it behaves just like Zimbra (blank screen without splash.html).

Can anyone point me in the right direction to debug this?
cheers

OK, so I have got this down to iTunes 9.0.0.70, that I installed yesterday.
When I uninstall iTunes, Zimbra works perfectly. If I install it again, Zimbra freezes on startup.

Any ideas on how to solve this are welcome.

cheers.

When iTunes 9 is installed Zimbra gets stuck. In Error console there are 2 errors:

Error: this.docShell is null
Source File: chrome://global/content/bindings/browser.xml
Line: 0

Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80540006 [nsIApplicationIcon.show]" nsresult: "0x80540006 (<unknown>)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://webrunner/content/webrunner.js :: anonymous :: line 687" data: no]

Default Workaround

Yes I had the same problem. Here's the workaround. Still no permanent solution.

Can no longer start desktop

Default Info

The source of the error is the creation of the system tray icon. In webapp.ini if trayicon=false Zimbra starts without problems.

Same thing on Prism, when creating an application with a tray icon, when the application starts it will remain on a blank page.
If no tray icon is specified then the application works.

I will try to post on the Prism forums.
cheers

Gee prefab, where do you find out these things? That does work. The only caveat is that when you minimize the app you have no system tray icon to click to get it back and it does not just minimize to the status bar any more. I found that if you click the shortcut that normally starts the app it just comes back up. Apparently it only allows one instance. So I just put the shortcut icon where it is visible and use it as if it were a tray icon. Still not fixed but we're getting there. Thanks for all your help. You seem to be the only one supporting this issue. I still can't find anything else about this. Apparently a lot of people gave up. So it wasn't iTunes that broke it?

Do you develop Prism apps?

I have seen 2 cases: on some (older) machines it works with iTunes 9.0. On others if iTunes is uninstalled then Zimbra works.

No, just got into it because of the Zimbra bug. It's a fun way of creating apps out of web pages. I posted this in the Prism group. Wait and see.
