Default SSL Connection Failure

Just downloaded the latest version of the desktop.
It says that Pop Mail is a beta service. Guess this means its still being perfected?

When I add any Pop3 accounts, I get this error, although the details are exactly the same as my Outlook settings.

After researching this forum it looks like this has been an issue for at least 6 months.

Is anyone using this to replace Pop3 Outlook accounts or am I just wasting my time?

Default Is it really worth it?

I'm having the same issue with the same desktop version downloaded today although I'm running Windows XP SP3 and IE 7. I even turned my Windows firewall off and tried to add my POP accounts - it didn't work.

Okay, just doubled checked, I'm running Windows SP3 too.

I've asked around and out of the 7 people that I know that are using Zimbra, none of them are using it for Pop3 accounts - they're all using it for Gmail, Yahoo etc.

I'm assuming that when they say Pop3 support is in "Beta", they really mean it doesn't work at all...

Default Well, at least it's a different error message...

I just tried to add the accounts again and am still being blocked but am now getting an SMTP error ("service.FAILURE: system failure: SMTP connect failure") even though the SMTP I am using is correct (it works in Pegasus Mail and Outlook).

Forget this. It's not worth the hassel and with it still being in beta, I'm not willing to sit around and wait for it to work.

I have it working on my comcast (POP3) account, but cannot get it to work on another POP3 account we use for a small business. Like you I have used all the same settings as Outlook. I even changed the settings a few times to see if matching them to comcast settings helped. At one point it was working for a few days but then it stopped. Very unstable.
