Hello Zimbra!

Unfortunately there is no any solution. But I have some informations. Maybe, they give some clues about the problem.

First of all, I got the error my Lenovo Thinkpad notebook with Turkish Vista.
And I contacted other Turkish guy Deniz who has similar problems and he is one of the editors of second biggest Turkish download site.
He and most of his office friends (excluding one guy Edit: He has English XP) got similar problems. He uses BenQ JoyBook (Turkish Windows). Now, He tried again for your office desktop pc but get same error, too.

Besides, I tried the install Zimbra on my home computer (has Turkish XP) but unfortunately I get some error, too.

I think, it's not a personal error, it's a general bug (maybe only Turkish users).

Best regards..

Hi, when you say that your friend and his office friends all have similar errors, do you mean they all have similar errors with Zimbra Desktop?

Does the person with English XP report the same issue?

Hi, I'm not sure that my friends have similar errors or not. I know only that they couldn't install. (edit: they answered)

However, two days ago, I rebuilded my computer and I installed Vista as English and I changed other details (geography, time zone, keyboard etc..). I installed Zimbra but I got same errors, too.

Today, I tried to install Zimbra on my office pc (Turkish XP), and got same errors.

In conclusion that, I tried the install Zimbra three different computers more than 6-7 times and different platforms (Vista/XP, English/Turkish)

According to me, the problem is to grow out of Turkish supported Windows package (English or Turkish versions have same problem) or some other programs.
But certainly you have a bug.

So, I decided to wait until first stable version of Zimbra.

Thanks for your helps...

Hi,

First of all biggest download site Mehmet :P

Last Saturday i installed Windows XP SP3 with Turkish language to my BenQ Joybook and my pc which i use in office. Yesterday when i was searching some collaboration tool for using in office (yes, like Zimbra but online one not software) however i want to try Zimbra Desktop again. So today i tried to download and install Zimbra Desktop again and still get the same error mesage when installation complete (failed to inject zimlets bla bla bla) After installation when i start the application i get this error message:

"Couldn't access Yahoo! Zimbra Desktop server. If issue persists after reinstall, please check logs for errors and report to http://www.zimbra.com/forums/zimbra-desktop." i reinstalled zimbra and still same error message "failed to inject zimlets bla bla bla (:

We're using Google Apps for email, im and documents. But we need more specific collaboration tool. Thatswhy we want to use zimbra bu i guess we have to wait until stable version like mehmet said.

denizgur, could you provide your log file <install>/log/zdesktop.log?

I'm surprised that so many people can't even install, since we haven't seen any problems at all on Windows.

devilegna, I got one set of log files from your first computer. Could you provide another set for your other failed installs, especially the English XP? I'm very surprised that you failed on all computers you tried, so we never saw this problem on any of our Windows computers. There must be an explanation. I'd like to see if you have the same issues on all of your computers and the log files are always the starting point. Thanks!

This is very weird. I can't see how it can happen and the derby db I received works just fine. I filed this bug: Bug 34567 – failure instantiating global Config

Can you post this file: .install4j/installation.log ?

Is this a 64-bit machine?
