Default Installing to D drive

Hi

I have been successfully using Zimbra Desktop for the last couple of months. One little problem though - I have an EEE pc running XP. Due tothe limited C drive space I was wondering how I would go about installing to the d drive.

Thx

I have never tried personally, but I don't see why not. Please try it, and let us know if you run into issues. Thanks!

Hi

The problem I am having is how do i install to the d drive. In the past most programs asked where you woul like to install i.e. 'c:\installsomethinghere'. But I did not get that option when I installed Zimbra - is there an advance option I can use to force it to install tothe d drive?

Thanks

No, I think you get the t & c's acceptance and then it just installs from there, without giving you an option. I tried putting the install on the d drive and instaling from there but it still installed to the c drive anyway. I have noticed some software only allows you to change the install directory via a 'custom' install, but I can't remember getting that option. I'm downloading the install files again to see what it gives me.

Please disregard - I have downloaded the install files and I got the directory question and was able to change to 'D'. I must be going blind!

Thanks

well, if you are upgrading from a previous install, we no longer ask you where to install. maybe you were doing an upgrade at first?

That may have been it. I was trying to move / copy it first then uninstalled and re installed and all sorts of things! To get it on the 'd' I manually uninstalled from 'c' and then installed from scratch on the d. All good now.
