Default Desktop Won't Run or Unnstall

Help! Desktop Beta .9 on XP Pro. The package will not run. I get a message that says "Couldn't start Yahoo! Zimbra Desktop server, giving up". I cannot uninstall the program through Add/Remove Programs, and if I try to re-run the installer, I get: "Previous version cannot be uninstalled. New install can't continue."

Windows sucks, but I have users on it. Any ideas?

You can just manually delete the installation directory (on XP, the default is c:\zimbra\zdesktop") and re-run the installer.

But before you delete everything in that folder, can you attach all the files you may find under "log" sub-directory? Those might be useful in figuring out why the server could not be started.
