I want to help translate zimbra in Spanish, how do I join the efforts with the moderators?

What is still in need to be done?

Also, I use 4.0.5, can I use 4.5.x release with my version?

At this moment, spanish translation is finished and ready for Zimbra 4.5.
Only admin interface and online help remain in english. I'm not sure if it is a priority to translate administrative interface.
I have and old release 3.0 admin interface translation, but needs to be updated and tested and check coherency with user interface translation.
My translation is "es_ES", that is, spanish from Spain based. Perhaps we could made a branch for an specific american spanish (es_AR, es_CO, es_MX and others) using es_ES as base translation.

Default branching spanish

think that branching is a great idea if and when you guys are ready. Feel free to do it and we can add a new set of files into the sourceforge project.

Yes, it's a great idea but this translation from Spain is not possible. It has to be made by a some latinamerican speaker. It's quite similar to do a translation for en_EN... for an american it's quite hard since you don't know all british expressions. ;-)
