Never mind,

I first installed version 3.0.1_GA_197 and I got problems with translation but now I installed version 3.0.1_GA_160 and it works perfectly now.

Thanx for your work and your help!

Hi,

Just to be sure that I understand well...
If I want to translate Web client in French, I just have to:
- download the zip file.
- extract on my system.
- copy all files under /opt/zimbra/jakarta-tomcat-5.5.7/webapps/zimbra/WEB-INF/classes/msgs/
- change the rights for zimbra user/group.
- restart tomcat.
- Configure my web explorer in French.

that's correct?

I made it and only my calendar is in french. I have already all menus in English.

Any idea?

Thx in advance,

Mike

Make sure you clear your cache and reload the application.

there's a little problem with Internet Explorer : under Mozilla Firefox, the language is declared as [fr-fr], but under IE, it's declared as fr only.
I added fr-fr and it worked ...
The problem is to correct it on all the desktops : so I've extracted the good registrey key to export on all the desktops (see the attached file).

Is this corrected in the future release ?

If you want it to work with just fr then you should call the properties files fr rather than fr_fr.

But is the french translation included in it? Or do you have any adea when it will be available for version 3.0.1_GA_332?

Thanx!

At this time we don't build in any translations. They get posted seperatly as translators post them here.

Hi,
Maybe Is it possible to install the french translation for previous version on the new 3.1?

If I want to contribute to the French translation, how can do that?
Maybe It should be good to create for example a swiss french translation (fr_CH). If I want to do this, I just have to copy and modify the following files:
AjxMsg_fr_FR.properties, ZmMsg_fr_FR.properties, ZMsg_fr_FR.properties and I18nMsg_fr.properties!
and rename it, for example:
AjxMsg_fr_CH.properties, ZmMsg_fr_CH.properties, ZMsg_fr_CH.properties, I18nMsg_fr_CH.properties

@+

Default 3.1.0 French translation

Given the urgency of the demand :-), here are the French Language files for 3.1.0_GA_332. They work for me, but all further corrections are welcome!
