Default Installer Hangs in Vista

This has happened on 2 machines now. The installer hangs towards the end of the install during the "Waiting for core service to initialize" - "Starting Zimbra Desktop Core Service"

This means the webapps can't start properly. When this happens please file a bug and attach <install>/log/mailbox.log.

Also if on linux or mac os x, please do a "kill -3 <pid>" which dumps the java stack into <install>/log/zdesktop.out and attach that to the bug. On windows unfortunately there's no easy way to dump out the stack trace.

Thanks!

WOW. You are using Vista. How brave

I had a user test drive it for me for 1 week. It sucked.

Default Works for me

I could install it on a PC running Vista Enterprise without any problems.

Keep in mind that post was 2 months ago-it might have already worked itself out of the v0.38 of zimbra desktop (i've also seen it work on vista ultimate)
