    Default Sending email

Is there a way to send an email from a specific account without it also checking for incoming email? I sometimes like to send things, but don't want any incoming mail to come through - but as my email sits in the outbox, I can only see the button to send/receive - nothing to only send out mail.

I'm confused...what good would removing the pop settings do? I have pop accounts. I am trying to see if there is a way to send only and receive only without them being connected. If I remove the settings, I can send but not receive, but then I have to just put them back in. That is a waste of time

Thought you only wanted that account to send. I would use Thunderbird IMAP/SMTP to do what you want. Since ZD is now not on EOL I would request that feature to have SMTP function separate from IMAP/POP.
