Default Email body empty when printing from ZD

90% of our users have zimbra desktop installed and all of them experience this issue.

When using the desktop client the email body doesn't appear when trying to print, it's not even visible in the print preview. I have searched the internet and have found a workaround using ctrl + p, but this only works if the email fits on the users screen. Another solution would be to get the user to use the web client, but unfortunately my users are not willing to use the web client.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    **UPDATE**

it appears to be a problem with emails that have HTML content

It works for me on the current ZD 7.2.5 (on openSUSE 13.2), are you using that version of ZD and which operating system? Are you using any anti-virus scanning software? If you are, have you tried disabling it to see if that stops the problem?
    Regards

    Hi Bill,

I'm currently on the latest build of 7.2.5, i have multiple OS's but all windows starting from Vista. I have not tried disabling AV, which is Sophos, but i will try that now.

Can i just confirm the emails you tried had HTML content in them?

    Regards

    Mike

Just making sure, sometimes the minor details get missed. It may be some time checking the AV theory. Having issues removing sophos from a machine, nothings easy lol

I not a developer so I can't really help much with this problem. What I can say is that I've tried this on Windows (7 Ultimate, 8.1 & XP Pro) 32bit and 64 bit versions without problems. All the previews show the email correctly (it's a large HTML 'newsletter') and that's either with the preview pane or double-click and opening the email in a new window. I do have a firewall/AV scanner on these systems (comodo) and that doesn't seem to cause problems. All the versions of Windows that I use are fully updated. I find it odd that everyone in your organisation has this problem. Are they using any non-English locale? What I forgot to ask is if ZD is connected to a Zimbra server or another mail server (such as yahoo, gmail, Exchange etc)?
    Regards

it's connected to zimbra server version 6.0.14.406. I agree it is a bit weird, i'm going to do a bit more investigating now that i know this problem is unique. I'll get back to you with more information when i have it.

    Thanks for your help

That's rather an old (unsupported) version of ZCS and I don't have that version installed. Any possibility of providing a test account for me to try with one of the offending emails in it?

Just spoken to my Manager, he is going to have a look at installing the newest version of ZCS and migrating to it this weekend.

When looking at the forwarded email raw HTML data (view original) and comparing it to the original mail HTML data there are some differences. There isn't a change in the code itself, but there are a lot of 'new lines' appearing throughout.

If we haven't resolved this issue by Monday my manager has agreed to set you up with an account for you to test
