ActiveSync support in Zimbra Desktop Client

Are there any plans for support connection to servers via ActiveSync from the Zimbra Desktop client, in the same way that Outlook 2013 now support ActiveSync as a protocol for connecting to servers?

(note for clarity, I'm talking about support in the Desktop client and not about the ActiveSync support in the Zimbra server products).

Not in the current ZD product as it's EOL as per the ZCS Release Notes.
