I have a horizontal blue bar that I can't move or get rid of. Please see attached screen shot.

The 'latest version' being what? You should alwyas specify the version number. Which operating system is this running on and which skin (have you tried another skin)? I don't see this problem on several versions of Linux nor any Windows version.

Actually, I had to re install my OS a couple of days ago and the new install does not do this. Thanks for trying to help anyway.
