Same answer as your first comment, just because you have the problem doesn't mean others will. There will possibly be others with it but I guess you're going to file a bug report about the problem so they can add their voices and votes to the report?

This isn't an incremental upgrade it's a complete replacement for the package, it's also not a 'whole numbered version' (as you call it) it's ZD 7.2.1.

I will do that. Thanks for the suggestion. But my experience is that nothing gets done about reported bugs.

Yes well that's the way it is done, but any way you look at it, going from 7.1.4 to 7.2 is basically an incremental upgrade, even if it did take several years. If it were 8.0 then I'd say it was a whole number upgrade and should be radically different. From what I have seen, this upgrade is radically the same. ;-)

I experienced something similar with one particular user who upgraded to ZD 7.2.1 - symptoms seem identical to what you are experiencing.

I filed bugzilla bug 77482 Bug 77482 – "Path not found" error line 305 of zdrun.vbs upgrading existing user with details.

Thanks for the reference. I think the problem has to do with manually changing the data store location for the old version. Once you start the new version, you can't change it without re-installing. It automatically creates it in the default location. I think the upgrade MIGHT work if you change the store location FIRST before starting the new version. I gave a link to how to do that in the OP.
