Default Does Zimbra Desktop work with any desktop search tools?

My company has just switched to Zimbra. I've been using Copernic Desktop Search, but it only works with Outlook and MS Mail. Are there any desktop search tools that will index and search both Zimbra email and Outlook email?

I know I could abandon the Zimbra client and add the Zimbra email account in Outlook, but Zimbra does not seem to play very well with other Exchange accounts, so I would prefer not to do that.

Why would you want to use two mail clients?

Why don't you just abandon Outlook? Zimbra Desktop has it's own search facility within it's interface.

I don't want to abandon Outlook for several reasons:

    1. I would prefer that my personal email accounts not be in the same client as my work email account.

    2. Our IT technical support has advised against adding other Exchange accounts to Zimbra client due to some difficulties with calendars and contacts they found during testing.

    3. I would like to be able to do a single global search of content in files and emails, which Copernic does. My understanding is that the Zimbra search only searches Zimbra emails.

I guess they'll file bug reports so the 'issues' get looked at or maybe look in the forums to see if others are having the same problems?
