When I add a calendar, an appointment or a contact in the zimbra web client, I see no changes in the Zimbra Desktop.
Is that a known problem ? What can I do to make it work.

There is no problem as far as I'm concerned but you'd find 'known problems' in bugzilla if you search for them.
You can start by telling us which exact version (and release) of ZD you're using and also the operating system. Is it a new install or an upgrade? Has it ever worked?

Server:
Release 7.1.4_GA_2555.UBUNTU10_64 UBUNTU10_64 FOSS edition.
Zimbra desktop:
7.1.4 build 11273
Zimbra server is connected with funambol server (all over https)
I don't know if it ever worked...because it's a brand new server we installed. We tested everything on the web client. Now we just installed zimbra desktop and we see that our calendars, contacts aren't in the desktop client...
Does the Zimbra Desktop connect directly to your ZCS? On which operating system are you running ZD?

I just installed Zimbra Desktop on Windows 7 Professional...
IMAP Mailbox to my mail.domain.com...
so I think its connect directly to my ZCS...

Didn't saw that you can choose zimbra connection...
