    Default Desktop 7.1.4 broken?

Is Desktop 7.1.4 broken? It prompted me to update last night, so I did, but now it can't maintain a connection to the server.

I downloaded it directly from the site, but the repair can't complete because "A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file ...update.msi". I downloaded it again and the same thing happened.

Desktop does work for about 30 seconds before it no longer will talk to the server.

    Code:

    Cannot connect to server.
    method:	SearchRequest
    msg:	Cannot connect to server.
    code:	EMPTY_RESPONSE
GMail doesn't work either, so it isn't my Zimbra server.

The MD5 is correct for the installer I downloaded.

I found a log file and here are the last two errors. There are dozens and dozens of waitset errors above this one.

ZD 7.1.4 has been working fine for me for several days now on Win XP, no problems with either gmail or yahoo accounts. As a matter of fact it fixed at least one problem I was having with errors on 7.1.2! Thanks guys!!! Did you try reinstalling it?

Uninstall and reinstall hasn't improved the situation. All of my data remained.

    Default Same Issue

Same error here. Any ideas on how to recover? BTW, we are running on ZCS 6.0.10.

User was attempting to update Zimbra Desktop yesterday (2012-03-19) morning. She is running ie8 on XP Professional.

a network error occurred while to attempting to read from the file c:\Documents and settings\Barbie\local Settings\Temporary Internet File\Content\ie5\rw2hxzx\update.msi

Any hints for how to backup basic account settings for easy re-import? Even Outlook Express has that feature.
