Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but one of our staff had this problem and I couldn't find a bug fix. After much cursing and muttering while reading and rereading the settings I checked out the ZDesktop shortcuts. There are shortcuts to switch between views! As a work around I've told her to use VM to View Message and VC to View Conversation.
