ZD 7.1.2 Unusable When Server Disconnects

My service provider 01.com is in the middle of an outage. Since this happened I have not been able to use ZD 7.1.2 because though I explicitly selected DISCONNECTED MODE via the menu icon, ZD continues to try to connect and I cannot work locally. I had a couple draft emails I couldn't save locally. I restarted ZD and it is still gummed up. So it appears ZD only works offline nicely when the server is fully functioning. This needs to be fixed.

Update:
Now ZD is in offline mode and working locally OK. Getting to this point was frustrating. ZD needs to handle a hard server disconnect more gracefully.

It works perfectly well for me in offline mode, have you tried the latest ZD 7.1.3 beta?

If you think this is a problem then you need to provide full information and some diagnostics then file a bug report.

I have not tried 7.1.3 Beta. Since outages are infrequent, I was pointing out a possible usability issue with the current general release.

The log file today is very verbose.

Don't have time to troubleshoot; have to leave for work.
