Is there an alternate way to export?

I have a system that is unable to run. It has Zimbra on it and I would like to save my emails. I know you can export them from Zimbra, but this system is in such bad shape that it keeps freezing and produces bad files. Is it possible to just copy certain folders from the old drive and import onto the new system? Or is there some standalone application that can grab these from a harddrive? I figure I'll just attach my old drive to this system and get the files I need. Does anyone know how I can go about doing this?

I had hoped that someone in the ZD community would post back on your question which is valid to me. I can only speak from a ZD on Linux perspective but the answer is not pretty: The only easy way to migrate ZD is to run ZD's backup utility. Then import the .tgz file into the new installation and you're done...but thats on the Linux side -- which at this time I'm having issues with myself.

Well, if they had a standalone command line utility that was able to grab these accounts without having to actually start up Zimbra, I would be home free. There are several executables that are in the bin directory, but I don't have any documentation on what they do or how to use them and I doubt they can do an export.

Believe me when I tell you that I understand your frustration. I did find a command line Zimbra utility that allows you to export but alas it is only for ZCS not ZD
