Sent mail saved with replied thread.

I apologize if I've missed the obvious and this has been discussed some place else. (If so, please point me to the right location.)

Using ZDC, I have a local folder with a message thread in it. If I reply to that thread, I *expected* the reply message to be added to that thread but instead, it only appears in the 'Sent' folder.

Am I missing a setting somewhere?
I use this feature quite a bit on another client I use for work and I'd like to be able to keep using it in ZDC.
