Default Using ZD as an IMAP/iCAL proxy?

I've been using ZD for a few months and I'm sorry, but it doesn't do it for me. I want to go back to Thunderbird, but for that I need an IMAP server connection and I don't have one remotely. ZD, however, can connect to our servers and it caches stuff locally right? It basically *is* a server backend running locally. So can it act as a relay/proxy, so I can connect Thunderbird to the ZD server running locally and pick up my remote mail?
