How can I see messages in my e-mail inbox that are more than a week old?

What do you mean by '...see them...'? Just scroll down the pane and you'll see all your email.

They only go back for a week now. They used to go back for months. I know I have months worth in there. Is there a setting or preference I need to change?

If you use ZD's search, it's likely you'll like it. Try type " before:"9/27/11" " in the input box.
