going from 1.07 to latest desk top -How?

I have followed the instructions on how to upgrade to Zimbra 7 for windows 7 but these are vague because who ever wrote them did not know what he was saying.

when you upgarde ALL your emails and account details are lost. EVERYTHING!

I have restored from back up but the instructions on website help guide are hopeless.

Does anyone know HOW?? how do you export all your user data and emails and email account settings to the new version which wipes the old ones?

the instructions say export to file with preferences. Rubbish no such button no such facility, Has anyone got a meaningful instruction set or do we just give up on all future versions?

Is there "import/export" under preference pane ?

Do you mean how do you "import" old user data and emails and email accounts into the new Zimbra 7.1.1 version? On Linux, I have tried many ways to get the new zimbra desktop 7.1.1 to read or load my emails and accounts from my backup but having no luck at all
