Default Email Address Aliases

I'm tinkering around with ZD and was curious if there's a way
to add email address aliases? For instance, I may have only 1
email account, but it may have several aliases that I would like
to use depending on the circumstances.

Thanks!

What type of account is this? Is it an account that connects to a Zimbra server, or another type of server (IMAP / Gmail / etc.)?

The type of email account doesn't really matter. Thunderbird
calls them "Identities", basically the ability to pick a "send as"
when you compose an email message. I've got several aliases
(over several domains) but only 1 email account. I'm curious
if the Zimbra Desktop is able to accommodate this setup?

I'm asking, because the type of account does matter in ZDesktop. For example, if you are connecting to a Zimbra server and have it set up as a Zimbra account, you cannot create/manage aliases in ZDesktop; they have to be done from the server.

So yes, the type of account does matter in ZDestkop when it comes to aliases.

But in ZDesktop, they are "Personas"

Gotcha. Currently I'm running a standard issue IMAP account.
Although I'm reviewing the idea of going with Zimbra, thus why
I'm asking so I know if my existing capabilities would still exist.

Yes, you can go to the Preferences tab, and then underneath the mail account in question on the left side, click Personas. On the right, you will add a new Persona, and that will be the separate identity/alias for that account.

Awesome, that's what I'm talking about. Thanks!
