Desktop installation fails

Phoenix, I thank you to try to solve my problem.
I can tell you I am not alone with this problem: I read another thread of somebody having the same problem with the ZD button appearing briefly in the task bar ...
I try many applications, I never had such a problem of an application not opening after installation. I consider there is a bug in ZDesktop ...

Which service pack do you have installed on your XP machine? What's the output (just the version number will do) when you run the following in a command prompt:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\cscript.exe

When I execute the command "C:\WINDOWS\system32\cscript.exe", I get:

Now, when I start ZDesktop I get the error message of Error.jpg file attached.
