Default any way to recover lost email?

OK, don't ask me how (lack of attention, I suppose), but I deleted some email from my yahoo account that I desperately want back. Unfortunately, by the time I realized it today, I found it gone from yahoo's trash. I've never archived the email using Zimbra's functions. And I don't know how Zimbra handles the syncing.

So, basically, the question is this: is there any way I can load Zimbra and recover the email from that account? I did read the doc about the offline symbol but how much time do I have after starting Zimbra to turn online into offline? (wouldn't it be better to ask me before zimbra starts activating?)

OH, most important: can you tell me where Zimbra stores the email for offline reading, so I can backup those directories before I run Zimbra and possibly screw things up for good?
