    Thanks..... but I'm beginning to lose hope...
    Well I tried. I installed the server and had no problems.

    Thanks for your ongoing interest.

    Last weekend I had a bit of time and I
    1) completely removed Java for Lion, cleaned and rebooted my machine.
    2) completely removed ZD, Prism and anything related to ZD, even including the History of updates in the library. Cleaned the machine again. Rebooted.
    3) used Applejack again. Rebooted.
    4) repaired all permissions using Disk Utility. Rebooted.
    5) reinstalled Java for Lion - though I was unable to do this through Java preferences (which claimed I was not connected to the internet, although I was). So I did it from the official mac site.
    6) completely reinstalled ZD 7.1.2 build 10978
    Zimbra desktop is nevertheless unable to contact the server and the warning message is :

    "A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.

    Script: file:///Applications/Zimbra%20Desktop/macos/prism/Prism.app/Contents/Resources/modules/WebAppProperties.jsm -> file:///Users/~/Library/Zimbra%20Desktop/zdesktop.webapp/webapp.js:116"

    There is still only what there has always been : one large grey clock like daisy wheel which turns red as it spins.

    I am still able to use Zimbra via Prism.

    Does anyone have any further ideas before I completely give up?

    Thanks for the idea.
    I ran OnyX but no luck.
    The error message, accompanying the grey-red spinning clock wheel is
    A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.

    Script: file:///Applications/Zimbra%20Desktop/macos/prism/Prism.app/Contents/Resources/modules/WebAppProperties.jsm:190

    Any more ideas anyone??

    Do you have any cleaners installed? If so let me know what you have installed.

    Try running Zimbra again. Go to your activity monitor and under CPU Column, have a look to see what is eating up your memory.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your ongoing interest.
    The cleaners I have are Applejack (as you suggested) and also OnyX (as suggested by another user).
    I tried Zimbra Desktop again.
    The warning message today is

    Script: file:///Applications/Zimbra%20Desktop/macos/prism/Prism.app/Contents/Resources/modules/WebAppProperties.jsm -> file:///Users/~/Library/Zimbra%20Desktop/zdesktop.webapp/webapp.js:116

    I looked at Activity Monitor. CPU is coreaudiod at 7,4% followed by Zimbra itself at 5%.
    Does this help?
    Best wishes.

    Can you disable and or uninstall Onyx completely and try running Zimbra?

    Again look at your activity monitor for software that is eating up your memory.

    Done!
    Now zimbra is at about 6% and Safari at about 5%.
    The ZD warning message now is :

    Script: file:///Applications/Zimbra%20Desktop/macos/prism/Prism.app/Contents/Resources/modules/WebAppProperties.jsm -> file:///Users/~/Library/Zimbra%20Desktop/zdesktop.webapp/webapp.js:140

    Followed by :
    Java Script Application :
    Couldn't access Zimbra Desktop server. If issue persists after reinstall, please check logs for errors and report to Zimbra Desktop - Zimbra :: Forums.

    Thanks.

    Other than the Zimbra and Safari, are there any other applications that are showing a high percentage of CPU activity?

    No, Iz, none whatsoever......
    Is 6% a high rate?

    To answer your question 6% is nothing, I am looking for something that is running about 60% and above.

    Go to the link below and read and try to eliminate the ones that does not apply to you. Try the solutions and see what happens.

    Unresponsive Scripts

    If that fails, then I going to ask you to do a clean install. It means completely removing Zimbra Desktop and ZCS. I want you to remove it by using the software "CleanMyMac".

    If you don't have the software send me a pm.
